When Elaine Steinbeck went to a Tokyo book shop and
asked whether there were any books by her husband,
John Steinbeck, the smiling clerk fished somewhere
behind the counter and came up with _The Grapes of
Wrath_. "Yes," the clerk said, "we have his most
famous book. It's called _The Angry Raisins_."

Steinbeck 的The Grapes of Wrath 與葡萄沒有太大關係﹐
但與聖經Revelation中的一段: "And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God" (xiv.19)有關﹐這裡grapes代表want and plenty。
